Registered Address and Business Scope
Every company in China must have a registered address, which serves as its official legal location. In Tai'an, you can use a commercial office, a co-working space, or an industrial park address. Virtual offices may be acceptable for certain business types, but manufacturing or retail businesses need a physical location that meets zoning and safety requirements. The address will be verified during registration.
The business scope defines the activities your company is permitted to undertake. It must be drafted carefully to include all intended operations, as adding activities later requires a change registration. For foreign-invested enterprises, the scope must also comply with the Negative List for Foreign Investment. Common scopes include manufacturing, trading, consulting, and technology development. Overly broad scopes may raise questions, so specificity is recommended.
Local authorities in Tai'an may require additional documents for certain scopes, such as environmental impact assessments for manufacturing. Consulting with a local expert ensures your scope aligns with regulations and future plans.
